Boomer to Zoomer: Career Pathways in Property

Boomer to Zoomer: Career Pathways in Property

Session 1
10:00 – 10:50

Session overview

The purpose of this session is too enhance cross-generational understanding and collaboration within the property sector by examining how different historical and economic contexts have shaped career pathways, workplace values, and professional development approaches across five generations.

This cross-generational panel brings together five speakers representing different life stages and career phases within the property sector. Each speaker will share their authentic career journey whilst exploring how the economic and social context of your generation shaped your professional pathway, workplace values, and approach to career development.

The session creates a dialogue between generations, examining how historical events—from 1970s stagflation to pandemic disruption—have influenced career strategies, workplace expectations, and professional relationships. Through personal storytelling, panellists will illuminate both the unique challenges each generation has faced and the enduring principles that transcend generational boundaries.

Their role is to be both storyteller and listener, sharing insights from your generational perspective whilst engaging with different approaches to career development. The focus is on learning from these differences, creating valuable perspectives on cross-generational collaboration and mentoring within the property sector.
