Please join us to help shape the next steps for the Net Zero Accelerator/Community Energy Project – that aims to facilitate the rapid rollout of decarbonisation initiatives across the education estate.

LocatED and the Department of Education are seeking to appoint three delivery partners to commence work on a community energy and renewables project targeting up to 150 schools/colleges in 2025-26 in three lots to help deliver the shared missions of clean energy, growth and opportunity for all by increasing the energy efficiency and generation on the school and college estate.

The project builds on the Net Zero Accelerator Pathfinder and forms part of the family of activities within the ‘The Sustainability Leadership Hub’ which aims to ‘inspire, plan and drive’ action towards net zero across the education estate.

The DfE and LocatED will be undertaking an online market engagement session for interested parties. The event is anticipated to last approximately 90 minutes and will give interested parties an understanding of the aims of the opportunity.
