LOCATED REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO YOUNGMINDS MENTAL HEALTH CAUSE AFTER BREAKING FUNDRAISING TARGET

LocatED colleagues smash fundraising target and choose YoungMinds as Corporate Charity until 2027

LocatED has extended its commitment to supporting YoungMinds after raising more than three times its annual fundraising target. Following an all-employee vote, YoungMinds will remain our Corporate Charity from 2024 to 2027.

By pledging three years of support to YoungMinds, LocatED is aiming to have a greater impact in terms of contributions and also education around young people’s mental health.

YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity advocating for children and young people’s mental health, strives to create a future where no young person feels isolated in dealing with their mental health challenges.

Since 2022, LocatED has been actively supporting YoungMinds’ mission through various fundraising activities and events. In the past 12 months, LocatED colleagues surpassed the company’s annual donations target, raising an impressive amount of £4,723, significantly exceeding the £1,500 goal.

Notably, the Charity Skills Auction, where colleagues auctioned their talents or services to the highest bidder, was our most successful fundraiser, generating £2,749. Additionally, the production of a pet calendar featuring our furry friends contributed £200 to the funds.

LocatED Chief Executive, Lara Newman said, “At LocatED, we are dedicated to building a brighter future for the younger generation by supporting charities and causes relevant to our employees and our work in education. I am incredibly proud of the generosity shown by our colleagues – both in terms of the time given to supporting this important cause and also the money they have donated.”

In the coming three years, employee-led fundraising activities will continue to support the fight for the mental health of children and young people.
