Please join us to help shape the next steps for the Net Zero Accelerator (NZA) – a scheme that aims to facilitate the rapid rollout of decarbonisation initiatives across the education estate.

LocatED is seeking to appoint two partners to oversee the delivery of a decarbonisation route map for two batches of 25 schools and colleges through a pathfinder. The pathfinder and the interventions will be informed by the NZA feasibility study findings, delivered in January 2024.

The vision is to create a new service that supports responsible bodies to decarbonise their estates and provides a hierarchy of intervention, most likely to be – behaviour change programmes, M&E upgrades, energy efficiency measures, energy generation building fabric improvements. This will be supported by a finance scheme.

The NZA forms part of the family of activities within the ‘The Sustainability Leadership Hub’ which aims to ‘inspire, plan and drive’ action towards net zero across the education estate.
