NET ZERO ACCELERATOR PATHFINDER MARKET ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Following a successful market engagement session, LocatED has shared more information on the next steps for Net Zero Accelerator programme.

The Net Zero Accelerator Pathfinder market engagement session on 24 April, hosted by LocatED was attended by 150 delegates looking to help shape the next steps for the Net Zero Accelerator (NZA) – a scheme that aims to facilitate the rapid rollout of decarbonisation initiatives across the education estate.

LocatED is looking for two partners help manage the delivery of a decarbonisation programme for 50 schools and colleges. Deliverables for the initial stage include:

• Developing a detailed decarbonisation plan
• Delivering a programme of behavioural change
• Optimisation and installation of controls
• Optimising energy procurement
• Data collection and capture including reporting via a dedicated platform.

The questions generated from the session by delegates have been compiled and answered by the NZA team. Please see here for the transcript, responses to questions raised and other comments, alongside the slides used.

It is expected that the Invitation to Tender (ITT) will be issued on the 17 May with tender responses due on 17 June. In preparation for the ITT, organisations that are considering to submit a tender are advised to register on the Department for Education eTendering Portal ahead of time.
